L-type gantry crane

Advantages of L-type gantry crane:

L-type gantry crane is suitable for outdoor applications such as warehouses and docks, and is mostly used for loading and unloading or grabbing materials in open spaces and warehouses. Outdoors, the L-type gantry crane can start and run without the aid of a building structure. In addition, L-type gantry crane can provide the best solution for workshops whose existing structures cannot support bridge cranes, or where adding rail-bearing beams will result in loss of construction area.

L-type gantry cranes are divided into L-type and C-type according to the shape of the outriggers. There are three types of gantry structure: double cantilever, single cantilever and no cantilever.

The cranes working outdoors are also equipped with windproof devices such as rail clamps and anchoring devices.

The gantry steel structure of the crane is mainly composed of a main beam and two outriggers (one rigid leg and one flexible leg are used when the span is ≥30m).

The trolley is composed of running track, lower beam and so on. The main beam, outriggers, and lower beams are connected together by high-strength bolts.

The main girder is mostly an off-track box girder structure, and the overall rigidity is weaker than that of the double main girder gantry crane.

L-type gantry crane is suitable for Q≤50t, H≤12m, and when the span S≤35m, this form can be used.
