Project Description

In January 2018, Weihua Group successfully delivered a specially designed anode charcoal block stacking crane to Shanxi Chalco China Resources Co. This special crane is mainly used in its 500,000-ton annual production capacity of electrolytic aluminum and ancillary projects for handling anode transfer blocks, ripening anode carbon blocks, and piecemeal deployment work of carbon blocks in the warehouse.

Product Functions

This crane is equipped with a combined clamping device, which is capable of clamping up to 21 anode carbon blocks at one time, and precisely transporting these blocks to the designated place to be stacked into a stack of up to 8 layers through the lifting and running mechanisms. In addition, it is equipped with an electric hoist, which is connected to the lugs of the single-block automatic clamp by a hook, not only assisting the combination clamp in accomplishing the task of clamping carbon blocks, but also flexibly handling the lifting of miscellaneous objects. Most importantly, all the carbon block clamping operations have been automated, replacing the previous pneumatic clamping method, significantly reducing costs and saving about 400,000 RMB per vehicle.

Since it has been put into use, this anode carbon block stacking crane has become the key equipment within the carbon block warehouse of the anode electrolytic aluminum plant, greatly improving the efficiency of carbon block handling and management.
