Gantry Crane for Shield is a heavy lifting equipment designed for slag discharge, equipment transportation, and shield supporting operations in subway tunnel construction. It can automatically complete the slag discharge, slag dumping, and circulation operations to meet the material transportation needs of tunnel construction. In addition to slag discharge and unloading functions, the crane can also be used for tunnel tube sheet lifting, shield set assembly, and other key operations and is indispensable and important equipment in shield construction.

Gantry cranes for Shields are mainly divided into four series according to the lifting capacity and applicable tool diameter, which can meet diversified construction needs:

  • 100-ton shield gantry crane: Lifting capacity of 100 tons, applicable to the installation of shield structure tools with a diameter of 6.3 meters and below.
  • 200 ton shield gantry crane: 200 tons lifting capacity, suitable for 13 m diameter shield tool installation.
  • 130 ton shield gantry crane: Lifting capacity of 130 tons, mainly used for medium-sized shield cutter and pipe sheet lifting.
  • 100 ton shield gantry crane: Lifting capacity of 100 tons, applicable to the diameter of 6.3 meters and below the installation of shield cutting tools.

The upper spreader of the shield gantry crane can be swung to adapt to the needs of excavation in different directions. For the special characteristics of shield construction, the spreader adopts a special design, equipped with adjustable clamps or hooks, adapting to different sizes and weights, and is able to firmly grasp irregularly shaped heavy parts such as the cutter plate, shield body, and pipe sheet.

Caractéristiques

  • Adopting a double trolley design, the two trolleys can be linked to lift the cutter disk and can also work alone to lift the tube sheet, adapting to a variety of construction needs.
  • The spreader and extender can be rotated 360° to meet the needs of the multi-angle installation of the cutter and pipe sheet. The trolley lifting mechanism can be rotated 180° to adapt to different slag discharge directions, enhancing construction flexibility.
  • Equipped with a PLC program control system, it supports intelligent operation and precise control, realizing automated slag discharge, slag dumping, and cyclic operation, which significantly improves construction efficiency.
  • Equipped with perfect safety indication and overload protection device to ensure the safety of operation. The lifting mechanism adopts an open gear drive, a simple and reliable structure, and easy maintenance.
  • Adopting a lightweight design, compact structure, and small footprint suitable for the operation of limited space in the tunnel reduces energy consumption and operating costs.
  • Modular structure design for easy transportation, installation, and maintenance. Designed for shield construction, it is able to adapt to the complex working conditions of the underground non-excavation environment.

Application

The shield gantry crane is mainly used for the following operations:

  • Cutter and shield body lifting and transportation: in non-excavation shield construction, it is used for lifting and transporting the cutter plate, shield body, and tunnel support pipe sheet.
  • Tunnel tube sheet installation: to complete the lifting and precise installation of tunnel tube sheets down the shaft.
  • Slag discharge and material transportation: automatic slag discharge, slag dumping, and material circulating transportation to improve construction efficiency.
