Single-girder suspension overhead cranes usually use I-beams as running rails and are suspended from steel structures or prefabricated roof beams, and their structure is similar to that of electric single-girder overhead cranes. Due to the special use of suspension overhead cranes, the roof load-bearing capacity requirements are high, so the lifting capacity is relatively small, generally not more than 10 tons, and the span of 3-16m, can be customized according to user requirements for design. Its big crane running mechanism is the same as the electric hoist running mechanism, and the main beam is supported by the suspension lifting beam to realize the smooth lifting and running of heavy objects. It is suitable for places with limited space, such as workshops, warehouses, etc. It is an ideal solution for light operation in low-headroom workshops.
According to the different lifting mechanisms, it can be divided into 2 different models, including LX single-beam suspension bridge cranes and NLX European single-beam suspension bridge cranes.
It is usually used with CD1/MD1 type wire rope electric hoist, which is a kind of crane with lighter lifting capacity. It is characterized by high rigidity, lightweight, modularity, and easy installation and maintenance. It is mostly used in small standardized plants, sewage treatment plants, power stations, pump houses, and overhaul workshops.

Electric single girder suspension crane consists of a main girder welded with an I-beam, an end girder, an electric hoist, and an electric running crane, suspended on the I-beam track in the upper part of the plant, the electric hoist runs along the lower edge of the main girder I-beam and completes the lifting work of the goods.
