Electrolytic Aluminum Multifunctional Crane is a kind of double girder overhead travelling crane, which is a heavy duty lifting equipment, specially designed for pre-baked anode electrolytic aluminum production line. It is mainly used for core process operations such as anode replacement, busbar lifting, electrolyzer overhaul, and material lifting in the electrolysis workshop.

The equipment needs to operate stably under the harsh environment of high temperature (more than 80℃ around the electrolyzer), strong magnetic field (magnetic field strength up to 100mT), dusty and corrosive gas containing HF, and it has the special performance of anti-magnetic, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Aluminum electrolysis multi-functional cranes have a high degree of functional integration and are usually equipped with anode clamping mechanism, striking head devices, residual pole grabs, and other special tools, which can complete a series of operations such as anode group positioning and installation, residual pole cleaning, electrolyte crushing, and so on. Typical application scenarios include electrolyzer overhaul, anode busbar transfer, electrolyzer startup and other production processes.

System Composition

Electrolytic aluminum multifunctional crane is mainly composed of trolley running mechanism, bridge, tool trolley, aluminum trolley, hydraulic and pneumatic system, electric control system, operating system, and other components.

  • Crane running mechanism: drives the whole machine to move along the longitudinal track of the electrolysis workshop, covering the operation range of multiple electrolysis tanks.
  • Bridge: This supports the structure of the whole machine, which needs to be highly strong, anti-magnetic, and heat resistant to adapt to the harsh environment of the electrolysis workshop.
  • Tool trolley: as the core functional module, it integrates the trolley running mechanism, trolley frame, tool rotary mechanism, shelling mechanism, anode replacement mechanism, dross fishing mechanism, material discharging mechanism and driver's room rotary mechanism to realize the key technological operations, such as anode replacement, shelling, dross fishing, material discharging and so on.
  • Aluminum discharge trolley: used for aluminum liquid extraction and transfer, usually equipped with a special vacuum package lifting device to ensure the safe transportation of high-temperature aluminum liquid.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems: Provide power for each actuator.
  • Electric control system: PLC control, frequency conversion speed control, and multiple safety protections are adopted, and some advanced models support remote monitoring and automated operation to enhance operational precision and safety.
  • Operating system: The whole machine supports cab operation and remote control operation, and the two modes can be controlled independently or cooperatively to meet different production requirements.

Eigenschaften

This equipment is the core process equipment for pre-baked anode electrolytic aluminum production, designed for high temperature, strong magnetic field, multi-dust, and HF corrosive environment. The main functions include:

  • Shelling--Crushing electrolyte crusts to facilitate the replacement of residual electrodes, as well as charging alumina and fluoride salts to the electrolyzer.
  • Charging--Add alumina, fluoride salt, and other raw materials (particle size ≤10mm) to the electrolyzer through automatic/manual control.
  • Replacement of anode--Dismantle the residual electrode (including unscrewing, lifting, and dropping operation), lift away the residual electrode, replace the new anode, and complete the precise positioning and fastening.
  • Fishing slag--Unscrew the lifting and dropping tightening screw clamps, clean the residual electrode fragments and crusted electrolyte in the anode pit.
  • Aluminum discharge - aluminum lifting package vacuum, aluminum liquid lifting, measurement (single package/accumulation), and data printing.
  • Busbar lifting - lifting the anode busbar frame, equipped with a special alarm device.
  • Inspection, lifting, installing, and overhauling electrolyzer superstructure, tank shell, and other components.

Anwendungen

Aluminum Electrolysis Multifunctional Crane is a heavy lifting equipment specially designed for the aluminum smelting industry. In modern intelligent factories, this equipment is gradually integrated with the following systems, such as electrolysis production control system (e.g., tank control machine linkage), overhead crane scheduling and management system, remote monitoring, and automated operation.
